Jackie’s Invisalign story
Jackie came to see us for a consultation eight months before her wedding to see if we could straighten her smile in time for her big day.
Her main concern was her crowded lower teeth, which is a common complaint among adult patients. Our teeth have a natural tendency to drift forward and crowd together over time.

Finding the perfect match
There are several ways we can align crowded front teeth quickly and discreetly using fixed or removable braces. Jackie chose Invisalign, which is a popular clear aligner system. It boasts crystal-clear aligners which are virtually invisible. You can even remove them to eat and drink.
Invisalign aligners should be worn for at least 20 hours a day, but we make an exception for special occasions. In the unlikely event that Jackie’s treatment took longer than expected, she could take her aligners out for her special day and say I do brace-free.
Jackie started her treatment in March, and within five months her smile was transformed. To complete Jackie’s smile makeover, we carried out teeth contouring and home teeth whitening, which are included with all our braces at no extra cost. To maintain Jackie’s beautiful result, we fitted fixed and removable retainers.

“When I was younger, I had perfectly straight teeth and was one of those children you envy for not having to have train tracks or intrusive head braces. But, in my teens that changed and my lower teeth started moving. I became conscious of this in photographs and started to look for solutions.
When I got in engaged, I decided I had the perfect excuse to do something about it – never in my life would I have so many photos taken, and I wanted to look and feel my best! A colleague had just signed up to Sensu and recommended I go for a visit, and so I did. I had a short timeline and told the Sensu team that I needed to be ready by then.
They showed me visuals of how my teeth would look at every stage of the process, so I was confident that even if I didn’t finish my treatment by November in time for the wedding, I’d still have a vastly improved smile. Low and behold, the whole process went much quicker than expected, and by the end of August, my teeth were perfect! I was delighted because it meant not only would my treatment be finished, but I could also use the teeth whitening before the wedding.
I am delighted with the results, and I can tell a huge difference in my confidence. It’s fair to say I’d have been beaming from ear to ear regardless on my wedding day but I got so many compliments on how lovely my teeth looked, and the pictures are all wonderful.
