What does Invisalign treatment include?

No one likes hidden costs, so our Invisalign prices and packages include everything you need to straighten your smile (and keep it straight).

Your Invisalign treatment will begin with a free 60 minute consultation. We ask for a £50 deposit to secure your appointment, but this will be automatically refunded in full – regardless of whether you go ahead with treatment.

During your consultation we’ll examine your smile; take some photos and X-rays of your teeth; and spend some time getting to understand your needs. You’ll also receive a complimentary dental health check with one of our senior dentists.

Our clinical director or specialist orthodontist will then make their recommendations and go through all of your treatment options. You’ll also receive a personalised quote and information on our payment options, including interest-free finance.

What’s included in your Invisalign® quote?

Your quote will include every step of your treatment, from your impressions to your retainers.

Invisalign® ClinCheck

If you’ve had braces before, you may remember your orthodontist taking impressions of your teeth using a gloopy substance called alginate. Thankfully, we can now do the same thing using a digital scanner. Invisalign takes this information and creates a 3D treatment plan using its innovative ClinCheck software. You’ll be able to see how your teeth should move during your treatment, and most importantly, your projected final result.

Check-ups and adjustments

All of your check-up appointments are included in the cost of your Invisalign treatment. After we’ve fitted your Invisalign aligners, we’ll see you approximately every 6 to 8 weeks to check your progress. Sometimes we may need to make small adjustments to your teeth or aligners at these appointments.

Invisalign® attachments and IPR

During Invisalign treatment, we may need to attach small tooth-coloured buttons to the teeth, to help us achieve certain movements. This is a quick and painless procedure, they’re very discreet and they can be safely removed once they’ve served their purpose.

Most patients also need some interproximal reduction (IPR) before or during treatment, to ensure the best possible result. This involves removing very small amounts of enamel from in between your teeth, helping to create more space. Again, this is a straightforward and painless technique.

Emergency appointments

Fingers crossed your treatment goes without a hitch, occasionally, though, aligners go missing or attachments fall off. If anything untoward does happen, contact us as soon as you can. If you need to come in and see us we’ll schedule an emergency appointment as quickly as possible at no extra cost.

Retainers

If you’re shopping around for your Invisalign treatment, make sure any quotes you receive include retainers. They’re imperative for keeping your smile straight and without them your teeth are likely to move back to where they started.

All of our Invisalign packages includes clear, removable retainers (which look a lot like Invisalign aligners). You also have the option to upgrade to fixed retainers too. These are attached behind your teeth for extra peace of mind. They may need reviewing periodically but should be worn indefinitely.

Home teeth whitening

So many of our Invisalign patients are interested in teeth whitening that we decided to include it in all our packages. As part of your treatment, you’ll receive a whitening kit to safely and effectively whiten your teeth from the comfort of home.

We usually recommend waiting until the end of your treatment to whiten your teeth, but if you don’t have any Invisalign attachments, there’s nothing to stop you doing this mid-treatment. Home teeth whitening can provide the same great results as in-clinic teeth whitening, they just take slightly longer to achieve, giving you more control over the shade of your smile.

Teeth shaping

Another finishing touch we include as standard is teeth shaping and contouring. This involves painlessly reshaping your teeth by removing very small amounts of enamel to achieve a beautiful, balanced smile. Not everyone needs reshaping, but if your teeth are slightly misshapen or asymmetrical it can make a big difference.

What doesn’t Invisalign® treatment include?

Before we can start any kind of orthodontic treatment, your teeth need to be strong and healthy. If you need any treatments for tooth decay or gum disease, for example, these will be quoted and charged for separately.

We usually ask patients to see a hygienist before starting treatment. Some of our Invisalign packages include hygiene sessions, otherwise these appointments will be charged for separately.
