Restore your smile

If you’ve lost a tooth, a dental implant is the next best thing. Implants offer an excellent alternative to bridges and dentures. They look and function just like natural teeth, and with proper care, they can last for years.

Dr Bhavnish Waghela has placed thousands of dental implants and sits as a Director on the Board for the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. His meticulous attention to detail combined with his passion for patient care will ensure you receive an outstanding result and a seamless experience.

The benefits of dental implants

  • Porcelain crowns look just like natural teeth

  • Titanium implants create a long-lasting bond

  • You’ll be able to chew and talk with confidence

  • Dental implants can last a lifetime

  • Implants won’t damage neighbouring teeth

  • Implants prevent the loss of jawbone

How do implants work?

Dental implants cleverly replicate your teeth using a titanium screw and a porcelain crown, which is indistinguishable from a real tooth. Over time, the titanium screw will integrate with your jawbone to create a strong, long-lasting bond. You’ll need to brush around your implant carefully, but otherwise, you can forget it’s there.

Multiple missing teeth

Implants are an excellent solution if you have multiple missing teeth. Each tooth can be replaced by an individual implant, or, if you’re missing adjacent teeth, we can fit an implant-retained bridge. An implant-retained bridge is much stronger and longer-lasting than a traditional bridge, and it won’t damage surrounding teeth.

All-on-4 implants

All-on-4 implants can replace a full arch of missing or failing teeth – in just one day. Dr Waghela will strategically place four implants in your jawbone to support your custom-made bridge. Your new teeth will be permanently fixed in place so you can chew, talk and smile with confidence.

Frequently asked questions

Single implants start from £2,900, and All-on-4 implants start from £14,500 for a full arch. We offer complimentary consultations with Dr Bhavnish Waghela, where you’ll receive a personalised quote, including a full breakdown of everything we include and your monthly payment options.

When we insert your implant, we’ll numb the area with a local anaesthetic, so you won’t feel any discomfort. Most patients are surprised by how easy their recovery is and report minimal pain or swelling. If you’re feeling anxious about the procedure, we can discuss conscious sedation, which will help you to relax.

Every patient is different, but if you keep your implant clean and attend regular reviews, it should last for many, many years, even for life.

After placing your implant, we’ll wait 3–6 months before fitting your crown. This gives your implant time to fuse with your jawbone to create a strong foundation. In the meantime, we’ll fit a temporary tooth, so you won’t be left with a gap. If we’re placing All-on-4 implants, we’ll fit your implants and bridge at the same appointment. You’ll leave us with a brand-new smile.

Most patients are suitable for dental implants, but if it’s not the best treatment for you, Dr Bhavnish Waghela will go through all your alternatives, including bridges and dentures.

Before we start your treatment, we’ll refer you for a CT scan so that we can accurately measure the amount of bone you have available. If you have low bone density, we can carry out a bone graft to strengthen your jawbone.

Implants have a high success rate, but, unfortunately, smokers have twice as many failures as non-smokers. It’s best to quit smoking entirely, or for at least one week before we place your implant and for two weeks afterwards.

Yes, our specialists and dentists can work together to deliver your dream smile. If you have orthodontic treatment before an implant, we can align your teeth and make sure they’re in the perfect position for your new tooth.

There are many different types of dental implants, so we can only provide ongoing care for the implants we place. If you need help with an existing implant, for example, a new crown, we recommend talking to your original dentist in the first instance.

You’ll need to keep the area around your implant clean with a thorough oral hygiene routine and visit either your dentist or hygienist for regular check-ups. Dr Waghela will see you for an annual review to carry out a thorough reassessment. Fees may apply for this appointment.

*The cost of your initial CT scan will be deducted from the cost of your treatment
