Lingual braces move your teeth using brackets and wires – just like train tracks. Over time, the wire gently guides your teeth into position to reveal your confident new smile. Because your teeth aren’t disguised by braces, you’ll see your smile improving week-by-week. Some patients notice a big difference within the first few months.
If you’re only concerned about the appearance of your front teeth, we have a lingual brace just for you. Incognito Lite is fitted behind your front six or eight teeth, making it a more affordable solution to straightforward crowding and spacing. You could complete your treatment within a few short months.
Incognito braces are fantastic for treating mild and complex cases, including common concerns like crowded or crooked teeth, spacing, protruding teeth and teeth that don’t bite together correctly.
Treatment times vary by patient, but moderate cases can usually be completed within 15 months, while more complex cases can take up to 24 months.

Most people won’t know you’re wearing a brace. We’ll fit your brackets and wires behind your teeth where they’ll be incredibly hard to spot – unless you are a dentist, of course.
Gold brackets are a welcome option for anyone with a nickel allergy. Gold has been used safely in dentistry for many years.
You might have a lisp for a few days, while your tongue adapts to your braces. The more you talk, the faster your speech will return to normal.
Your brackets will hug your teeth closely, to minimise any potential discomfort. For the first few days, your braces might irritate your tongue and cause mouth ulcers. We can give you some wax to place over any areas that are rubbing.
